The American And The European Roulette
Free roulette is one of the most popular games in the casino whether it is online or offline. Players are oftentimes attracted to free play. Based on the appearance of the real roulette game, the game is rather simple and easy to play. Even people who've never had any experience in gambling will be able to play the game of roulette by merely spinning the reel and betting on a specific number or numbers, or even on a certain color.
Naturally, the primary center of the game centers around the roulette wheel. The weight of the wheel is about 100 pounds and has a measurement of approximately three feet in diameter.
There are two basic types of roulette, European roulette and American roulette.
The wheels that are used in European and American roulette are rather different from one another; let's talk about their similarities first. Both wheels are divided into pockets that are numbered. The pockets have 3 different colors - green, red or black. The numbers are from 1 to 36 and grouped into two colors, red and black. Zeros are green.
The pockets on the roulette wheel are not in order, but are, instead, arranged to establish a proper balance between the colors red and black, the even and the odd numbers and the high and the low numbers as well. If you look at the wheel, you can take note that all of the odd numbers are partnered with the next highest opposite even number right next to it. The red and black pockets are also arranged alternately.
The green pocket(s) on the wheel are the difference between the European and the American roulette wheels. In European roulette, it has only one zero on the wheel. The green pockets represent the advantage to the casino. American roulette, has two green pockets, with one zero and double-zero, or the 0-00. The casino advantage of American roulette is 5.3% and European roulette has only a 2.7% casino advantage.
The American and the European roulette games use chips in different ways. American roulette players use chips that have similar value, that is determined upon purchase. In European roulette, players are usually free to use the chips that have different denominations or values. this is more confusing for the player and the croupier.
